1. Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella - Neuschwanstein Castle, Bavaria, Germany


Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most majestic castles in the world. The castle is also known as Germany's fairy tale castle. It was built in the 19th century by the “fairy-tale” king, Ludwig II of Bavaria. Cinderella's Castle, as well as Sleeping Beauty's Castle, were inspired by the fairytale architecture of the Neuschwanstein Castle and its surrounding area that is just as breathtaking as the castle.

2. Tangled - Mont-Saint-Michel, Normandy, France


Mont-Saint-Michel is famous for its majestic abbey of Mont-St-Michel that was built between the 11th and 16th centuries. The abbey stands at the top of the mountain surrounded by a picturesque medieval village. The kingdom of Corona and the castle of Rapunzel's parents in Tangled were inspired by Mont-St-Michel.

3. Up - Angel Falls, Venezuela


Angel Falls is a majestic waterfall located among the jungle of the Canaima National Park in Venezuela. It is the world's highest waterfall that falls from the height of 979 meters. "Paradise Falls" in Disney's film "Up" was modeled after this astounding waterfall. The odd-looking mountains depicted in Paradise Falls are called tepui. Tepuis are flat-topped mountains found in the Canaima National Park.

4. Beauty and the Beast- Alsace and Chateau De Chambord, France


Alsace is a historical region in France that combines elements of French and German cultures. Villages of this region are known for their colorful half-timbered houses, narrow alleys, and picturesque corners. Belle's hometown in Beauty and the Beast was inspired by these villages that even in real life look like they are straight out of a fairytale.

The castle of the Beast was inspired by Chateau De Chambord, a majestic castle built by King Francis l in 1547.

5. Brave - Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland


The Castle where princess Merida live was inspired by an iconic 13-century castle - Eilean Donan Castle. This picturesque castle, surrounded by beautiful scenery, is located on an island and connected to the mainland by a stone bridge. It is one of the most visited attractions in Scotland.
